Manchester United are currently the frontrunners in the race to sign sought-after Juventus defender Gleison Bremer according to Football Italia transfer expert Matteo Moretto.

It was revealed on Friday that Bremer has a release clause in his contract that will be valid for a fee in the region of €65m-€70m, active in the summer of 2025.

There will be no release clause in play during the upcoming transfer window, however, it is understood that Juventus will consider offers for a fee similar to the release clause if they arrive in the coming months.

Of the list of interested clubs, Manchester United are currently the most interested in signing Bremer this summer, according to Matteo Moretto.

However, Bremer is not the only defender that United are monitoring, and United are not the only club following Bremer.

In fact, there are potentially two other centre-backs already playing in Serie A that could be of interest to those at Old Trafford.

Those include Atalanta prodigy Giorgio Scalvini, who has recently signed a new, long-term contract extension in Bergamo, and Colombian centre-half Jhon Lucumi, who is understood to be valued in the region of €20m.
