Reports in Italy claim that Juventus star Gleison Bremer will undergo knee surgery in Lyon today.

The Brazil international suffered a cruciate ligament injury in a Champions League game against RB Leipzig last week.

Tuttosport and Gazzetta dello Sport, on page 14 on Tuesday, report that the Brazilian defender went to Lyon for a specialist visit and has remained in the French city where he will undergo surgery today.

Bremer injury: Juventus star to have knee surgery today

Juventus said last week that Bremer had sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury in the left knee.

Reports in Italy claim that Bremer will remain out of action for at least six months, meaning his season is practically over.

However, Juventus will likely provide more updates on the defender’s recovery after his knee surgery today.

Bremer, a former Torino defender, had started eight games from eight across all competitions this season.

The 26-year-old has eight goals in 91 appearances with the Serie A giants.
