Torino are demanding close to €50m for Gleison Bremer for Inter, but there are reports a clause will allow him to leave for just €15m in January.
The centre-back signed a new contract in February that will run to June 2024, knowing full well that he would probably be moving on in the summer.
This allowed him to guarantee Toro a bigger pay-out for his transfer and it’s reported that President Urbano Cairo is asking for circa €50m to let the Brazilian leave.
However, Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio warns the situation isn’t quite so simple, as there is a clause in that contract meaning Bremer can leave in January 2023 for just €15m.
That might be behind the hesitation from clubs including Inter, Milan, Juventus, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.
Sportitalia have suggested for many weeks that Bremer promised himself to Inter, partly because he is confident that he does better in a three-man defence.
Considering the season will take a long break in November and December for the 2022 World Cup, the interested clubs could be tempted to wait until January for a Bremer bargain.
