The last 16 at the 2022 World Cup includes some intriguing matchups and these Brazil vs. South Korea predictions form part of a hectic run of games. The Samba Boys finished top of Group G as South Korea squeezed through as runners up in Group H.

Brazil vs. South Korea odds

1 – Brazil to win – 4/13

2 – Brazil under 2.5 total goals – 4/7

3 – Total goals scored over 2.5 – 11/10

4 – Both teams to score – 19/13

5 – Brazil to win 2-1 – 9/1

Brazil’s end to the group stage was hit by defeat as Tite’s side lost 1-0 to Cameroon, as the Samba Boys unbeaten start ended.

But successive Group G wins over Serbia and Switzerland sealed Brazil’s last 16 spot and Tite rested a host of players in that final match.

Brazil will need to react ahead of taking on South Korea. But they have shown some moments of real quality so far in Qatar, with goals from Richarlison and Casemiro.

South Korea were forced to wait until the last minute to secure their own last 16 place, with an added time 2-1 win over Portugal, as Uruguay missed out on the knockouts.

Despite their slip up against Cameroon, Brazil are still strong favourites to secure a win here, and the five-time winners are still favourites to go on and win the tournament.

However, they have only managed over 1.5 goals scored in one of their three group games – and they are unlikely to hit South Korea with a flurry of goals in Doha.

Brazil have not been involved in a clash with over 2.5 total goals scored between both teams inside 90 minutes of action. But two of South Korea’s three outings have – and they will be confident of posing a threat to Tite’s Brazil.

South Korea have shown enough in the Middle East to hint at their ability to challenge Brazil in this contest. But with no world title win since 2002, Brazil are under real pressure to power through the knockout stages and they will be determined to face either Japan or Croatia in the quarter finals on December 9th.
