Striker Pato and centre-back Silva will represent Milan at the competition, while Inter stopper Juan Jesus and Fiorentina ‘keeper Neto will join them.

Silva, who will be 28 in September, is one of the three permitted over-23 players in the squad, the others being Porto striker Hulk and Real Madrid full-back Marcelo.

New Milan goalkeeper Gabriel is on the stand-by list should boss Mano Menezes be forced into a goalkeeping squad change because of injury.
