Despite the many times Carlo Ancelotti has insisted he is not interested in leaving Real Madrid, the Brazil Federation continues to push for his signature.

The Italian tactician is under contract until June 2024 at the Estadio Bernabeu, having won the Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup and the Copa del Rey this season.

He has said on several occasions that he is not prepared to leave Real Madrid this summer, unless he is fired, but the Brazil option remains.

Currently in Spain to help organise an anti-racism friendly match for Vinicius Junior, Brazilian Federation chief Ednaldo Rodrigues could not help but admit he was still chasing Ancelotti.

“We’ll be in Spain for another week, we’ll see if we manage to unite our agendas and organise some meetings, I cannot say if it will be with Ancelotti or someone close to him,” Rodrigues said in a press conference.

“The objective is to return to Brazil with a clearer idea on the situation. I am accustomed to a fight. I won’t let go easily and I am a persistent person by nature.

“Ancelotti is one of the best coaches in the world and it’d be wonderful for him to lead one of the best national teams in the world.”

The Brazilian Federation is even hoping to make an ally out of Real Madrid in pushing Ancelotti away from the club role he had already held from 2013 to 2015.

“I am here with Rubiales, who is very friendly with Florentino Perez, and I’ll ask him to put in a good word to help free Ancelotti. All the players who worked with Ancelotti said he is the best, especially the younger ones, as he helps them to develop.

“It is important for us to start a new era with a new coach, someone the fans and Brazilian players will like. The objective is clear and we’ll try to achieve it. We hope it goes well.”

Ancelotti is one of the most successful coached of all time, winning the Champions League four times with two different clubs, the Club World Cup on three occasions and is the only coach to have won all five top European League titles.
