“My good friend [Juventus general manager Giuseppe] Marotta officially turned down our offer,” Braida told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“However, it doesn’t end here. First there are the club elections, and then…”

The Catalan club cannot field any new signings until January, as they are under a transfer ban, but can sign players, as was the case with Aleix Vidal.
