Brahim Diaz admits Milan ‘got out of a complicated situation’ with their 2-1 win away to Spezia and thanks the fans for their special reworked Kaka chant.

The Rossoneri emerged victors from the Stadio Picco thanks to goals from Daniel Maldini – son of director Paolo and grandson of Cesare – and substitute Brahim Diaz, who had been on the pitch for under five minutes when he scored.

“It is always complicated against Spezia, as they play good football, especially in their stadium,” Brahim Diaz told DAZN.

“They played well, but we fought hard, stuck together, tried to score and I am very happy because this is a complicated situation that we managed to get out of.”

The Number 10 jersey at Milan has always been a big responsibility and brings its own forms of pressure.

“I love responsibility. Everything I do, it is for the team. I feel the team has faith in me and that is the most important thing.

“We have talented players in this squad and can go far.”

The Milan fans have reworked an old Ricky Kaka chant for Brahim Diaz and the Spaniard is honoured.

“It’s about a Milan legend, Kaka, and it’s incredible to hear our fans dedicate that chant to me.”
