After Theo Hernandez contracted coronavirus, Milan forward Brahim Diaz has tested positive too and is added to the list of absentees ahead of the match against Hellas Verona.

Theo Hernandez is currently out with COVID-19 and the Rossoneri have announced Brahim Diaz is also positive.

The Diavolo has confirmed the players is ‘fine and in isolation’, following the protocol provided for by the health authorities.

“AC Milan announces that Brahim Díaz tested positive in a swab carried out today,” the club wrote in a statement.

“The player is doing well and is in isolation at home. The whole team has been tested with a negative result.”

“Close monitoring with swab tests will follow according to the indications provided by the relevant health authorities, who were immediately informed.”

Stefano Pioli said Brahim Diaz was feeling a bit bad this morning and that the Spanish forward was uncertain for the match against Hellas Verona.

Milan are struggling with many injuries and absentees ahead of the match against Igor Tudor’s men and Pioli confirmed he will make a decision for Zlatan Ibrahimovic tomorrow.

Davide Calabria seems fine and could feature, while Junior Messias and Tiemoue Bakayoko are still recovering from injuries. Theo Hernandez is out with coronavirus, meaning Fodé Ballo-Touré should start at left.

  1. I dream of a day when there are no announcements about Milan players being out due to injuries or covid.
