Milan are working with Spanish sides for low-cost options, expecting to extend the Brahim Diaz loan from Real Madrid and requesting Junior Firpo from Barcelona.

Brahim Diaz made his senior Spain debut in this evening’s 4-0 friendly win over Lithuania and was on target with a well-taken strike.

He spent this season on loan at Milan and multiple sources are confident Real Madrid will extend that agreement for another year, possibly with an option to buy included.

Meanwhile, the Rossoneri are also keeping costs down by requesting a similar deal with Barcelona for left-back Junior Firpo.

The 24-year-old had refused to make the move last summer and again in January, despite the lack of playing time for the Blaugrana.

He played just 844 minutes of football in 18 games this term.
