Bournemouth have reportedly switched their focus to Sassuolo’s Hamed Junior Traore after failing to agree a deal with Nicolo Zaniolo.

The Cherries had hoped to sign the 23-year-old Italian forward this month and agreed the terms of a €35m deal with Roma, but couldn’t convince the player to accept the move, forcing them to look elsewhere.

The English club currently sit 18th in the Premier League and are hoping to find the right reinforcements to help them avoid relegation.

As reported by TMW, Bournemouth have emerged as serious contenders for Traore and may submit an offer for the 22-year-old in the final hours of this January transfer window.

Contracted to Sassuolo until June 2024, the Ivorian has been an interesting talent for a while now, scoring 18 goals and providing 11 assists across 111 appearances for the club.  He is the older brother of Manchester United owned winger Amad Diallo.
