It’s reported Bournemouth are attempting to hijack Watford’s move for Roma winger Juan Iturbe.
The 22-year-old seemed certain to join the Hornets, having taken a medical yesterday, and said goodbye to the Giallorossi.
However, Gianluca Di Marzio’s website reports that the Cherries are looking to hijack the deal, and have offered a loan with a €22m buyout clause, as well as higher wages for Iturbe.
Watford’s offer is thought to be worth a total of €19.5m, so the counter-offer would allow the Lupi to recoup almost all of the €24.5m they paid for the player.
Di Marzio’s site is reporting that Watford will not raise their offer, as they don’t wish to enter a bidding war, but it’s not yet clear if Iturbe is open to moving to Bournemouth.
