Borussia Dortmund are prepared to meet the €40m Sassuolo asking price for Manuel Locatelli, but the player would prefer Juventus, claim Sportitalia.

According to transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, the German club made an approach over the weekend and took steps towards making a formal offer.

However, even if Dortmund do agree terms with Sassuolo, it remains to be seen if Locatelli would accept the transfer.

He has several big clubs keeping track of him, including Juventus and Real Madrid, with the Bianconeri undoubtedly as the favourites.

Sassuolo will also be in no rush to sell, as they hope good performances for Italy at Euro 2020 can further raise Locatelli’s profile and bring new potential buyers in.
