Italy international Andrea Belotti is still a free agent and the latest offer could come from Borussia Dortmund after Sebastian Haller’s tumour diagnosis.

The former Torino striker let his contract run down and has found firm proposals difficult to come by, with vague interest from OGC Nice, West Ham, Roma, Milan, Galatasaray, Toronto FC, Besiktas, Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor, but nothing really looked close to a deal.

Now Tuttomercatoweb claim that Borussia Dortmund have contacted Belotti’s agents to ask about his availability in the Bundesliga.

The German club had just signed Sebastian Haller from Ajax for €31m, but the 28-year-old was diagnosed with a testicular tumour during pre-season training and it is not clear how long he will be out of action for.

Belotti is also 28 years old and has 12 goals in 44 senior caps for Italy, along with 106 goals in 270 Serie A appearances.

Il Gallo would be following in the footsteps of Ciro Immobile, who struggled when moving from Torino to Borussia Dortmund in 2014.

  1. Yes, Belotti should accept an offer from Dortmund. Perhaps, having a few Nazionale players gaining experience in such as the EPL and Bundesliga will help with further develop player finishing techniques in the final third of the pitch. Games are won by scoring goals. The Nazionale desperately need players to improve on the shots/goals conversion rates. 13-15% conversions rates are not good enough.

Yes, he should go and gain such necessary experience!
