Artur Boruc has revealed that he intends to quit Fiorentina this summer. “I want to play in a better League.”
The Polish 'keeper joined the Viola in the summer of 2010 from Celtic and although he has established himself at the No 1 in Tuscany, he wants out.
“I have enjoyed my time in Florence, but it seems to me that this is not my League,” he told the Daily Record. “I would like to go and play in a better one.”
The 32-year-old played in 36 Serie A games for the Tuscan outfit this season after the club opted to sell Sebastien Frey to Genoa.
Boruc has been linked with a return to former club Celtic, but he admits that a return would be unlikely for the time being.
“I have said that when I think of Celtic I think of warmth and love, but at this moment I want to aim for the highest target,” he continued.
“As for Celtic, though, I would always consider a proposal from them.
“What is really important in my life is my family and I would listen to what they have to say because I need them to be happy.”
