Speaking to fans following the side’s 9-0 victory over Val Pusteria on Sunday, the 30-year-old revealed that Roma’s sporting director Walter Sabatini and general director Franco Baldini have told him that he’s not in their thoughts for 2012-13.
“It’s difficult to train in these conditions,” he stated after the friendly. “However, I will give it my all.
“If I want to remain at Roma? You'll have to ask Sabatini and Baldini. They told me that I no longer figure in their plans.”
Borriello transferred to Roma on loan in 2010, following a two-year spell at Milan in which he notched 17 goals in 38 matches.
The striker was permanently signed the following summer, but only featured for Roma seven times last season, as Coach Luis Enrique preferred summer recruit Pablo Osvaldo as the starting striker.
