Juventus have yet to make a decision on the long-term future of Marco Borriello, his agent has insisted.

Reports today suggested that the Old Lady had already informed Roma that they would not be buying the striker once his loan deal expires.

However, speaking with Tutto Juve, representative Tiberio Cavalleri claims anything can still happen between now and the end of the season.

“The story is devoid of any foundation,” Cavalleri noted. “I can reiterate that it is not true that Juventus have sent a fax to Roma saying that they won’t sign Borriello.

“There is no truth in it. As a result, I really don’t want to discuss it – it would just be a waste of time.”

Juve have the option to sign the 29-year-old outright at the end of the campaign for a fee of €8m after netting him in January.

The Italian international, who was replaced in the Roma first team by Daniel Pablo Osvaldo, hasn’t scored in 10 appearances for the Bianconeri.
