Hellas Verona are stepping up negotiations for Inter midfielder Borja Valero, leaving behind Parma and Genoa.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Spaniard is leaning towards a Stadio Bentegodi move this summer.

The 35-year-old is a free agent after his contract with Inter was allowed to expire.

He was also of interest to Parma, Genoa and other clubs outside of Italy, but seems to have chosen Verona.

Talks are advancing to agree personal terms with the former Fiorentina man.
