Inter midfielder Borja Valero could return to Fiorentina as a free agent for next season, three years after leaving Tuscany.

The 35-year-old is coming to the end of his contract, having joined at a cost of €6.5m in the summer of 2017.

His agent stated that he wants to remain in Italy to see out his career rather than go back home to Spain.

According to Sport Mediaset, the most likely destination is the Stadio Franchi, with a return to the Viola.

Borja Valero represented Fiorentina from 2012 to 2017 and was a fan favourite, even getting a tattoo of the co-ordinates of the city’s iconic Ponte Vecchio.
