L’Equipe suggest that Milan talks for Yacine Adli are so advanced that he could be on the bench this evening for Girondins de Bordeaux.

The Ligue 1 season has already started and midfielder Adli would be expected to play in tonight’s big game away to Olympique Marseille.

However, L’Equipe is reporting that he will be dropped because a transfer to San Siro is now considered to be imminent.

The Rossoneri are trying to do a deal for €10m including bonuses and add-ons.

Adli turned 21 last month and can play in a variety of midfield roles, in more defensive or attacking approaches.

This will allow him to fill in for Ismael Bennacer or Franck Kessie just as well as Brahim Diaz in Stefano Pioli’s system.

With Kessie injured and out for several weeks with a flexor strain, that versatility makes him even more important.

Bordeaux suffered a shock opening round home defeat to Clermont Foot, in which Adli was substituted at half-time.
