Pepe Bordalas has been ruled out of the running for the Roma bench after extending his contract with Getafe to 2022.
The 55-year-old was named as a potential candidate by Tele Radio Stereo on Wednesday, having taken his team to fifth place in La Liga, missing out on the Champions League by only two points.
However, this afternoon it was announced his contract with Getafe was extended from June 2020 to 2022.

Paulo Fonseca is now the hot favourite, although he has to extricate himself from his deal with Shakhtar Donetsk.
Other options including Gian Piero Gasperini, Antonio Conte and Maurizio Sarri all turned down the Roma job.
