Leonardo Bonucci is on the market, but the Italy international has told Juventus fans he doesn’t want to leave.

The veteran defender arrived in Turin on Monday to start pre-season. He has one year left in his contract with the Old Lady, but the club have put him on the market.

Bonucci will train alone at Continassa and not travel to the USA for the pre-season tour.

Sky Sport Italia and Ilbianconero.com reporters were at the J Medical on Monday to cover Bonucci’s return and both media claim the experienced centre-back told Juventus fans that he doesn’t want to leave.

The Italy international took selfies and signed autographs for the young Bianconeri supporters outside Juventus’ private clinic after undergoing medical examinations. At that moment, he reportedly said: ‘I want to stay, thank you all for the affection.’

Bonucci is expected to meet Massimiliano Allegri after learning he was not part of the project in a meeting with directors Cristiano Giuntoli and Giovanni Manna last week.

However, the club and the coach have decided together and are not expected to change their mind.
