Leonardo Bonucci says it’s up to Carlos Tevez and Andrea Pirlo to decide whether to stay at Juventus, and welcomes Sami Khedira.

There has been speculation the pair could end their spells in Turin a year early, with Tevez linked with a return to Boca Juniors, and Pirlo tempted by an MLS adventure.

“Tevez? Obviously we all want to walk into the dressing room on July 20 and find him there,” Bonucci explained, addressing a Press conference on Italy duty.

“It’s a decision which only he can make, if he stays with Juventus then we’ll have even more chances to crown our European dream.

“As for Pirlo, we laughed and joked about his tears [after the Champions League final]. It wasn’t a goodbye, just sorrow about the defeat.

“We hope he’ll continue with us, because apart from being a very good player, he’s a great person. If you give the ball to Andrea it’s like putting it in a safe.”

It was announced earlier today that German international Sami Khedira will be joining the Old Lady next season, and Bonucci welcomed his new teammate.

“He’s an important signing, there’s a continuous line of international players arriving at Juventus. It can only improve the squad.”
