Milan centre-back Mateo Musacchio is looking forward to playing alongside Leonardo Bonucci – “he’s one of the best defenders in the world”.
Both defenders joined the Rossoneri this summer, and the Argentine believes cohesion is forming during pre-season.
“I feel very good, I’m really happy. This is a new team and we’re all just getting to know each other,” Musacchio explains to Milan TV.

“I feel very good, I’m really happy. This is a new team and we’re all just getting to know each other,” Musacchio explains to Milan TV.
“These games are important to get to know each other, training sessions are crucial but in the games it’s more intense.
“We’re working to become a great team and the club is working well from that point of view. We’re training hard to have a great season.
“We’re working on the defence and in Italy, like in the rest of the world, the defence is very important. Teams are built from the back and we’re training for a good year.
“Bonucci is one of the best defenders in the world, and if I play beside him it’ll make everything easier. I’m very happy to play with him.”
The Diavolo face Craiova this week in the second leg of their Europa League match, with 59,000 tickets sold already.
“We want to play this game and we know the support of the fans will be very important. Hopefully they’ll fill the stadium.
“As we saw in Romania, it won’t be an easy game, we’ll need everyone to win. Right now we’re just thinking about Thursday, getting a result and going through.
“We’re not thinking about the future, we’re just taking it a game at a time.”
