Former Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci hopes José Mourinho’s Fenerbahce can win the first Turkish title in 10 years as he believes the experience of the Portuguese manager can ‘bring a lot’ to the Istanbul outfit.

Bonucci played for Fenerbahce during the last five months of his footballing career, from January to May 2024, before announcing his retirement.

Despite racking up as many as 99 points, his side only finished runner-up in the Turkish Super Lig behind champions Galatasaray, and Bonucci now wishes that Mourinho could be the manager who secures Fenerbahce’s first league title win since 2014.
