“When I got the ball off Andrea and saw the movements of the strikers, I thought of going through the middle,” the defender told Sky Sport Italia.

“I saw the gap was opening up and so I tried to angle my finish right into the corner.”

“As long as we’re not mathematically champions of Italy, we have to keep pushing. It was fundamental to win this game and I think we saw an excellent performance on a psychological level, as we fought for every ball.
