Bonucci escapes ban after touchline row with Inter staff member

Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci was fined €10,000 after a touchline row with Inter secretary Cristiano Mozzillo.

Bonucci shoved the Inter staff member after Alexis Sanchez’s late winner against the Old Lady in a Supercoppa Italiana showdown last night.

The veteran defender had recovered from an injury and was on the sidelines, waiting to be introduced as a substitute in the final seconds of extra time, to take a penalty in the shoot-out.

According to multiple reports, he was annoyed by Mozzillo’s celebration for Inter’s late goal, so he tried to push him away.

According to Il Tempo, Bonucci even shouted ‘I am going to kill you,’ to the former Napoli staff member.

It was reported that Bonucci could have faced a ban as Federal investigators had witnessed the scene and reported it.

However, the Federal Prosecutor fined the Italy international €10,000, so Bonucci will be available when the Old Lady hosts Udinese at the Allianz Stadium in their next Serie A game on Saturday.
