Leonardo Bonucci could be dropped and Federico Marchetti recalled for Italy’s friendly against Holland next week.

The Azzurri will take on the Oranje in Amsterdam on Wednesday evening, kick-off 19.30 GMT.

According to the latest reports, Juventus defender Bonucci will not be included because he broke the ‘code of ethics’ that Coach Cesare Prandelli set out.

By picking up a two-match ban for insulting the referee, Bonucci went over the line and is set to be dropped for this friendly.

On the other hand, Lazio goalkeeper Marchetti is expected to receive his first call-up since the 2010 World Cup.

He has been on stunning form recently with a series of spectacular saves.

Davide Santon could get a recall following his good form for Newcastle United.
