Genoa stopper Luca Antonelli insists that one refereeing decision may have changed the outcome of the game in Sunday’s match against Juventus.

The Rossoblu took the lead at Marassi, only for the Old Lady to score three second-half goals – but only after Leonardo Bonucci was booked rather than dismissed for a possible last-man challenge outside the box.

“It should have been a red card,” the left-back noted. “With our opponents down to 10 men, the game would certainly have changed…”

The former Parma player also cursed his side’s misfortune when Andrea Bertolacci was denied just seconds before the Italian champions equalised.

“That was a key incident,” he added. “We were about to double our lead and then they hit us on the break for Emanuele Giaccherini to score.”
