Thieves broke into Kevin Bonifazi’s home during Bologna’s 2-1 loss to Hellas Verona last night.

The burglars entered the house in the Emilian capital during yesterday evening’s match at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi at around 9pm local time. The Carabinieri intervened, being alerted by an alarm system installed in the house, which is located in the city centre.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, the thieves reached the roof of the building from an apartment building and then they climbed down onto Bonifazi’s balcony. They forced opened a French window, entered the home and began searching the rooms. The thieves were surprised by the alarm and escaped quickly, only taking a handful of objects with them.

On Monday this week, another Bologna player’s house was burgled, with thieves breaking into Lukasz Skorupski’s home. In that case, the Carabinieri intervened as well but not quick enough to stop the burglars from stealing a variety of personal belongings and valuables, which amounted to around €50,000 in total.
