Roma have been linked with welcoming Bonifazi’s services at the end of the season.
“I’m flattered [by the interest]. I know you can get to the top only with hard work, however I won’t let myself be distracted,” Bonifazi told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I have a great relationship with [former Spal coach] Leonardo Semplici. It’s like a second father to me. [Luca] Gotti is similar. There are many similarities between them.
“Semplici didn’t act as a supreme boss and trusted me. Gotti transmits football and moral concepts. He is not loquacious and works well tactically. You can see the impact he’s had.”
Bonifazi’s teammate Rodrigo De Paul is also one of the hottest transfer commodities in Serie A, but Bonifazi had a confrontation with him this season.
“We are two real persons. That confrontation was a positive one. We talk straight. There must be clashes in a relationship to make it real. Rodrigo has a strong character, and so do I. It's his strength, he is an immense footballer.”
