Zbigniew Boniek, the President of the Polish FA, has warned Napoli forward Arek Milik he ‘must play’ regularly to get into Poland’s Euro 2020 squad.
The former Juventus and Roma player, who picked up a Scudetto, two Coppa Italia and the European Cup during his time in Italy, spoke to Radio Anch’io about Milik’s situation in Naples.
The Poland international seemed set for a move to Juventus during the summer, before being linked with Roma, Tottenham and Fiorentina.

The Poland international seemed set for a move to Juventus during the summer, before being linked with Roma, Tottenham and Fiorentina.
Juventus eventually picked up Alvaro Morata from Atletico Madrid and Edin Dzeko stayed put at the Giallorossi, whilst Milik trains alone at Castel Volturno.
The 26-year-old was still called up to the national squad and scored during a 5-1 win against Finland last week, but Boniek insists he must play regularly to keep his place in the squad ahead of the European Championship next summer.
“Milik is fit and full of energy,” Boniek told Radio Anch’io. “He would like to play. I hope he can find a smart solution with Napoli.
“Arguing never serves anyone in life, I can only say this. He must start playing, at least from January.
“Otherwise it will become difficult to go to the European Championship. I think that Arek should remember that Napoli have been close to him during injury spells, this is just a question of money, as always.”
Milik has played 51 games for Poland, contributing 14 goals in the process, and started five games when Poland reached the quarter-finals of Euro 2016.
