Zgbiniew Boniek believes that Juventus ‘remain the team to beat’ in Serie A this season, followed by Inter, Napoli and Roma, but ‘fourth would be a success for Milan.’
The Rossoneri are currently top of the table and have lost one competitive match since March, but the former Juve midfielder and now President of the Polish Football Federation doesn’t see it lasting.
“If Milan finish fourth, it would be a success for them,” Boniek told Libero newspaper.

“In terms of squad and strength in depth, I still see Inter, Juve, Napoli and Roma superior to Milan. Having said that, it’s no fluke that they are the leaders now, because Stefano Pioli deserves a great deal of credit for his tactical approach getting the best out of these players.”
Andrea Pirlo has struggled to find the right identity for his new-look Juventus.
“The Bianconeri remain the team to beat, though. They just need a little time to assimilate Pirlo’s ideas and get the right movements down.
“Antonio Conte and Inter have to resolve the Christian Eriksen issue, because he is quite an atypical player. He’s very good technically, but also very inconsistent.
“In any case, I remain confident Inter are the only team who can trouble Juve for the Scudetto. The real quality will show over the long run.”
