Udinese sporting director Nereo Bonato says “we’ll take the appropriate decisions” on Duvan Zapata at the end of the season.

The striker is on a two-year loan from Napoli, and has six goals for the Zebrette so far this season.

“There’s a lot of water to pass under the bridge from here until the summer,” Bonato said on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“Zapata must show consistency in his improvement. He has room to improve and he has to do that, this experience in Udine is important for the lad.

Zapata may not be needed back at San Paolo, however, as it appears Leonardo Pavoletti is on the verge of joining.

“Pavoletti would fit well with the Azzurri’s game plan. He’s a great lad, he’s played across the divisions and he deserves that stage.”
