Bologna have reportedly held talks with both Arsenal and Olympique de Marseille over potential moves for defenders Jakub Kiwior and Chancel Mbemba, according to Saturday’s reports.
Bologna eyeing loan deals for Kiwior and Mbemba
The Rossoblu are on the hunt for defensive reinforcements after selling Riccardo Calafiori to Arsenal earlier this summer. Martin Erlic has already been brought in from Sassuolo, but there could be at least one more addition to that department before the end of the summer transfer window.
Talks for Arsenal’s Kiwior have been going on for some time already, and reports earlier on Saturday suggested that Bologna are ready to close on a loan deal with an option to buy.
Kiwior is currently on Mikel Arteta’s bench for Arsenal’s Premier League game away at Aston Villa, which means Bologna may still have to wait a couple more days for him to become available.
While waiting for Kiwior, Vincenzo Italiano’s team have also requested to take Mbemba on loan from Marseille, according to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side are reporetedly requesting a fee of €6m to send Mbemba out on loan for the season.
