A potentially tricky evening for La Dea is on the cards as these Bologna vs. Atalanta predictions show. The hosts were in much better form than their visitors ahead of the World Cup break and will be hoping to keep their run going.

Bologna vs. Atalanta odds

1 – Atalanta to win – 1/1

2 – Atalanta to win by one goal – 11/4

3 – Both teams to score – 7/10

4 – Duvan Zapata to score first – 10/3

5 – Marko Arnautovic to score anytime – 11/5

Atalanta travel to face Bologna on Monday evening with the two sides looking for a good run of results in the New Year as Serie A continues.

The hosts saw their best run of the season, with five wins in six games, disrupted thanks to the World Cup and will be hoping to carry their form over. Atalanta, on the other hand, lost all their games in November and so will be looking forward to an easier run of fixtures this month.

Compared to the likes of Napoli and Inter, Bologna will prove a different test to La Dea, who go into the match as strong favourites – and for good reason. Atalanta are undefeated against their opponents in five games.

Even so, Monday’s clash is not likely to be a walk in the park for the visitors against a well organised Bologna team, meaning a wager on Atalanta to win by a one goal margin could well pay off.

Bologna’s strong run of results to end 2022 was not down solely to luck, as they have put in a number of strong performances this season. Even in defeats to the likes of Lazio and Napoli, Thiago Motta’s side gave a good account of themselves. A bet on both teams to score, therefore, may be a solid option for the clash at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.

Among a number of interesting sub-plots on Monday, one particular focus will be on the strikers. For much of the season, Bologna’s Marko Arnautovic was the top goalscorer in Serie A. Although he has fallen into second place, the forward remains a real threat.

Atalanta on the other hand, have struggled at times due to Duvan Zapata’s lack of form and fitness. The Colombian has for so long been the focal point for La Dea that they relied on individual brilliance or set pieces for goals. However, with Zapata now back to full fitness, the visitors have their second all-time record goalscorer back – and he is our tip to score first on Monday.
