Bologna are still on the hunt for a new centre back and have opened talks with Juventus defender Daniele Rugani, reports detail.

The 29-year-old Italian centre back recently penned a new two-year contract with the Bianconeri, but is not expected to play a significant role in Thiago Motta’s new project. Offers have already started to arrive, including one from Saudi Arabia, and Atalanta have been linked with a move as well.

Bologna are preparing to sell Riccardo Calafiori in the coming weeks, with Arsenal seemingly leading the race, and have started looking around for viable replacements ahead of Vincenzo Italiano’s first season in charge.

The Rossoblu have already been in contact with the Juventus defender’s agent and may soon make contact with the Old Lady.
