Bologna defender Adama Soumaoro has tested positive for coronavirus and is currently in ‘home isolation’.
The Rossoblu announced the French centre-back has contracted COVID-19 ahead of the home game against Lazio in Serie A.
The player has been placed in home isolation and the club has contacted the health authorities.
The 29-year-old has only played once in Serie A since his move from LOSC Lille was made permanent in July.
“Bologna FC1909 announce that following the tests carried out, Adama Soumaoro tested positive for COVID-19,” the club wrote in a statement.
“As per protocol, the local health authorities were notified and the player was placed in home isolation.”
