Bologna have signed Birmingham City left-back Cheick Keita on an initial loan deal.
The French defender joined the English side from Virtus Entella in January, having been signed by Gianfranco Zola.
However, he has played just 11 minutes under Harry Redknapp this season, and has now returned to Italy with the Rossoblu.
The Lega Serie A’s website confirms that a contract has been deposited for a loan deal, but this is likely to include an option or obligation to buy in the summer.
