Bologna are reinforcing for the Champions League, as Emil Holm completed his transfer from Spezia today, while Juan Miranda arrived for his medical as a free agent from Real Betis.
The Rossoblu surprised everyone by finishing fifth in Serie A this season, which due to the impressive Italian results in UEFA tournaments was worth an extra spot in the new, expanded Champions League format.
They are busy building the squad for new coach Vincenzo Italiano and today officially announced the arrival of full-back Holm from Spezia.
The Sweden international spent this season on loan with Atalanta, who decided not to take up their option to make the move permanent for €8.3m.
Instead, Holm signed for Bologna today in a deal believed to be worth €7m plus bonuses.

Real Betis left-back Juan Miranda also arrived in the town today and had his medical tests, set to sign on as a free agent.
The 24-year-old had been linked with Milan in the January transfer window, but they did not want to pay the asking price.
Miranda is a product of the Barcelona youth academy and this season made 32 competitive appearances for his club, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
