Bologna are stepping up talks with Toulouse for defender Logan Costa, who is also a target for Fiorentina and West Ham United, and hope to get a deal for €15m.

Their first choice had been Mats Hummels, but the free agent is still waiting to make a decision on his future after turning down proposals from France and Saudi Arabia.

The Rossoblu are not prepared to wait any longer and have turned their focus instead towards the French-born Cape Verde international.

Logan Costa on Bologna radar

According to Sky Sport Italia, more negotiations were held today and they are edging closer to an agreement at €12m plus bonuses.

Calciomercato.it maintain the deal is more likely to be finalised at €15m including the add-ons.

There had also been interest in Costa from Fiorentina and above all West Ham United, who see him as an alternative to OGC Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo.

Considering today’s reports that Todibo is on the verge of a move to Juventus, it’s possible the Hammers could miss out on both their first two targets for the role.
