Bologna say they will know whether they will go into the new season with Sinisa Mihajlovic as their Coach in ’10-15 days’.

Mihajlovic guided Bologna to Serie A safety in just 17 games, but his contract expires this summer and his work could see him move elsewhere, with even Juventus reportedly interested.

“The satisfaction that we’ve felt over the past few months doesn’t mean that we can forget our struggles from the start of the season,” President Joey Saputo said at a Press conference.

“The moment has now arrived to make a step up. I want to keep this enthusiasm alive. We’ll go again from this point.

“The aim is to ensure that we’re no longer fighting to stay in this division. We must put ourselves in a position where we can consistently occupy a spot in the top half of the standings.

“At this point in time, I can’t say whether or not there will be any changes to the club hierarchy. As a club, we certainly need to improve on a global level.

“We spoke with Coach Mihajlovic and explained to him our programme, I’m optimistic. We’ll have more news in 10-15 days.

“I’m an extremely competitive person, I don’t consider the possibility of another season like this. We need a change of pace.”
