A statement from the Rossoblu confirmed the Uruguayan was diagnosed with the partial lesion of the collateral medial ligament in his right knee.
There is also a sprain to the right ankle with partial lesion of the deltoid.
Surgery will not be necessary, but medics expect him to be out of action for circa two months.
