Bologna are exchanging documents with FC Basel for attacking winger Dan Ndoye, in a deal believed to be worth €10m including bonuses.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the two clubs have swapped paperwork and he is expected for a medical over the next 24 hours.
It will initially be a one-season loan at a cost of €2m, but with an obligation to buy for a further €8m at the end of the year.
Ndoye had also been of interest to Serie A side Torino and Everton in the Premier League.
He has one senior cap for Switzerland and will turn 23 in October.
Primarily a right-sided attacking winger, Ndoye can also play on the left side of a trident.
The Swiss international scored seven goals and provided five assists in 54 games for FC Basel last season.
He is set to be the replacement at the Stadio Dall’Ara for Musa Barrow, who coach Thiago Motta confirmed is on the transfer market this summer.
