Bologna are in advanced talks with Gimnasia La Plata for forward Benjamin Dominguez, but are backing off Toulouse defender Logan Costa, as Villarreal step in.
According to Sky Sport Italia and Varsky Sports in Argentina, negotiations are progressing very well with Gimnasia La Plata for Dominguez, a left-sided attacking winger who turns 21 next month.
A product of their youth academy, he scored six goals and provided one assist in 27 competitive games during 2023-24.
The proposal is very close to the asking price and a deal could be done in the next few days.

Meanwhile, Bologna are said to be backing off their pursuit of Logan Costa, insisting that FC Toulouse are asking too much at €19m.
Instead, Costa is now being linked with Villarreal, by Spanish newspaper Diario AS, and had previously been of interest to Newcastle United.
