Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic confirms striker Marko Arnautovic ‘could leave’ this summer after links with Juventus, Napoli and Roma.

The 33-year-old only came to the Stadio Dall’Ara from Chinese club Shanghai Port in August 2021 at a cost of €3m.

He certainly made an impact, as the Austria international found the net 14 times in 33 Serie A appearances and also got one in his only Coppa Italia outing.

There are reports from Sportitalia and Gazzetta dello Sport transfer pundit Alfredo Pedullà that Arnautovic is looking for a move to a bigger club, where he would not get so much regular playing time, but could act as an understudy for the likes of Dusan Vlahovic at Juventus, Victor Osimhen at Napoli or Tammy Abraham for Roma.

“I don’t know, but he scored 14 goals and so it could well be true,” said Bologna coach Mihajlovic in today’s press conference.

“He is certainly an important player for us.”

Arnautovic only just turned 33 last month and is well-travelled, playing in Austria, the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, England and China.

This is his second Serie A spell after going to Inter on loan from FC Twente in 2009-10.
