Bologna announced the squad and coaching staff have joined the club directors in foregoing one month’s wages due to the COVID-19 crisis.

The three-month lockdown and extended gap during the 2019-20 season means the fixtures aren’t set to finish for Bologna until August 2.

Following in the footsteps of many other Serie A sides, Bologna’s players have agreed to forego one month of their salary to help the club deal with the financial repercussions of this situation.

President Joey Saputo and the directors had already taken this step last month, with the squad and coaches now joining in.

“The club would like to express its appreciation for the sense of responsibility shown in this moment by the players and coaches,” added the statement.
