Chelsea’s search for a new head coach is only just getting started and yet another name has been linked with the job, with Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelotti the latest to be considered for the role.

The Blues are seemingly not ruling out any idea as they search for a long-term replacement for the recently dismissed Graham Potter, with a growing list of coaches being evaluated, like Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho.

The favourites seem to be Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique, but the appointment of Frank Lampard shows that Chelsea do not want to rush this search and so have time to consider a number of ideas.

ESPN detail how Ancelotti has now been linked with the Chelsea job, aware of the pressures on the Italian coach at Real Madrid.

Despite the fact that his contract expires in 2024, failing to win the Champions League this season could be enough for him to be shown the door, making him an intriguing prospect for the Blues.

Ancelotti has also been heavily linked with the vacant Brazil job and seems open to the idea.
