The striker has one more year left to run on his contract and is fresh from arguably the best season of his career.

He wants to return ‘home’ to Boca and Juve have said they will try to make him happy.

“We want to have the best squad in Argentina and with Tevez we’ll improve our team,” technical director Aguas told reporters.

“To make it official we must wait until Tuesday or at the latest Wednesday. Everything is in movement, so we just need the final signature.”

However, Italian papers claim Juventus want €5m to release Tevez a year early from his contract.

The gap could be bridged by the inclusion of a player in the deal, specifically Rodrigo Bentancur.
