Zvonimir Boban thinks Napoli’s Edinson Cavani is over-priced and he doesn’t expect Bayern Munich to crumble against Juventus this week.

The former Milan and Bari midfielder spoke to Radio Goal on Monday about a number of issues, beginning with the €63m release clause inserted into Cavani’s contract.

“Cavani is a great player,” the Sky Italia pundit stated. “However, I do not believe that he is worth €63m on the transfer market.

“That’s just my opinion, an honest one. Perhaps he’s worth about half of that figure.”

The Uruguayan international, linked with Real Madrid and Manchester City, is Serie A’s top scorer this term thanks to 22 goals in 28 games.

Meanwhile, Boban thinks Juventus will be knocked out of the Champions League on Wednesday after their first leg 2-0 reverse at Bayern last week.

“I think Juventus have little chance against Bayern, although I hope that I am wrong,” the former playmaker added.

“Bayern proved that they are clearly better and that just can’t disappear. In order for Juventus to qualify then everything will have to go right…”
